The new Esteban factory is a complex project that must combine the efficiency of its spatial organization the durability of its structures and the comfort of its users
The Esteban factory is therefore a building where the employees’ working environment must be optimal in order to achieve a result that matches the qualitative image of the brand
To reconcile these essential functions and provide a coherent response the project followed a global design approach for sustainable functionalism and the creation of a workplace and well-being
This ambition is based on three complementary foundations
spatial functionality through an adequacy between spaces and uses and also between management and maintenance
human functionality through the consideration of the physiological and psychological needs of users according to the space in which they are located
The project is composed of two entities an industrial part and offices
The industrial buildings are in the foreground on the road to Pignan
Their rational architecture in metal cladding uses earthy colors ranging from brown to grey
The offices widely open to the exterior are at the back offering a panoramic view of the surroundings between vineyard and scrubland
The wooden cladding provides a triple function遮 shadowing security and façade finish
To enhance the work and comfort of the factory employees various outdoor spaces have been created
This includes the creation of rest areas with Japanese inspiration zen garden a playful area with a bowling alley and a large outdoor terrace belonging to the restaurant opening onto the distant landscape
