The project is located in the heart of the city of Douala, in the Bonanjo district, and benefits from an exceptional location and visibility
The ambition and innovation of the program, together with the exceptional location and visibility of the site, testify to the modernity of the project
As the economic capital of Cameroon and of Central Africa, Douala is also a place of modernity where economic activity develops with the strength and richness of the culture and history of Cameroon
The project is organized in R+8 with 4 levels of underground parking
The functionality of the building, in the broad sense, includes all aspects related to daily and long-term operation, placing the project in a sustainable development approach
Thus, the consideration of the site, climatic, energy, regulatory and technical constraints, the program and also the necessary flexibility of the building determine the morphology of the structure
The levels are free of any internal walls and allow any type of layout and subdivision of spaces
The project is the expression of its program, its functioning and its natural and cultural environment
The forms and materials used draw their roots by taking inspiration from the geometric patterns of Douala masks and pagne fabric, shields or African furniture
Thus, the movable protective façade panels, triangular in shape and including a horizontal slot at eye level allowing to see outside when the panels are closed, recall traditional masks and shields
